Our Program
Fostering Forever Friendships is a Not-for-Profit Organization that runs an on-the-go day program and summer camp for adults with exceptionalities 18-45 years old in Ottawa East.
Our Mission Statement: "To foster friendships, independence and the continued growth of adults with exceptionalities in a safe and inclusive on-the-go environment"
Fostering Forever Friendships prides itself on being an on-the-go day program where participants are travel training and being involved in the overall public transportation process. We focus on the continued growth, independence, and daily living skills of each participant, while having fun and being an active part in the community. We encourage participants to try new things, make choices, practice their independence, and build valuable life skills in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Throughout the year, participants will have the opportunity to explore destinations across Ontario and Quebec.
Public transportation is an important part of our programming, and we primarily use OC Transpo and ParaTranspo when travelling throughout the community. When we travel outside of our regular public transportation zones, we may use rented buses, trains, or other modes of transportation. Transportation is selected based on the needs of the group, the destination, the activities planned and many other factors.

You can register for select days or register for a full-time spot Monday to Friday.

- Tubing and outdoor adventures
- Festivals and community events

- Arts, culture, and entertainment experiences
- Restaurants and community dining
- Volunteering out in the community
- Seasonal activities and special events

$110 per day 8:30am-3pm |
What does Day Program look like? We partake in both outdoor programming (weather dependent) as well as in-centre programming. |
What days can my participant come? When you sign up for Day Program, you sign up for a specific day or day(s). We run Monday to Friday! |
What if my participant is sick or on vacation? We do not offer days in lieu of, credits or refunds. |
