Fostering Forever Friendships will be following all Public Health Guidelines and protocols may change to ensure that appropriate measures are being followed.
We also have a Covid-19 Safety Plan that is revised every few months to ensure it is updated along with Ottawa Public Health Regulations.

Upon Arrival:
- Parents/Guardians/Participants are to text the program phone and a staff member will meet you outside.
- Temperatures will be taken upon arrival of each participant and staff member. Should your temperature be in the yellow or red zone (37.5+) you will have to wait 10 minutes to have your temperature retaken. If it is still in the yellow or red you will not be permitted into the program until you can provide Negative Covid-19 test results.
- Covid-19 screening questions will be asked to the participant, staff members and parents/guardians if they are dropping off.
- Hand sanitizer will be used by all before entering the room and joining the group.
- Parents/Guardians or anyone dropping off the participant will need to remain outside for drop off and screening. They will not be permitted to join the group or come into the program with the participant.
- If a participant or staff member is exhibiting signs of Covid-19 and has not successfully passed the screening test, they will not be allowed into the program. A negative Covid-19 test result will be required in order for the participant to return to program.
- Please limit all personal belongings coming into the program.
Staff:
- will be tested twice every week with Covid-19 Rapid Testing Kits to ensure all staff are Negative. All Casual staff will be tested upon arrival of each shift.
- will be disinfecting supplies and touch points throughout the day
- will frequently be washing hands and using hand sanitizer on outings
- can choose to wear a mask
- will wear a mask in crowded areas and on Public Transportation
- will ensure that all elevator rides ONLY contain FFF staff/participants
- will keep track of all buses by noting the stop name, bus number, and bus name
- will ensure that all participants and staff are sitting beside each other instead of the public while on public transportation
- will communicate will parents thorough Participant communication books or email
Participants:
- can choose to wear a mask/face shield
- will wear a mask in crowded areas and on Public Transportation
- need to frequently wash hands and use hand sanitizer on outings
- will limit items coming into program
